The market no longer feels like a phase where every altcoin eventually gets lifted together. Right now, it's behaving more like a strict liquidity selection process. The old altcoin cycle playbook is fading fast. Instead of rewarding everything, the market is testing which assets still attract real demand once fear and volatility enter the system. BTC, ETH, and SOL continue to serve as the core structural layer of the market. They are holding their ground relatively well, but they still haven't confirmed the kind of strong risk-on environment that typically fuels a broad altseason. Meanwhile, the second-tier group has shifted into a more defensive posture. XRP, BNB, TRX, and DOGE are maintaining liquidity, but momentum is weakening and becoming unstable. The biggest danger still lies in the high-beta narrative plays. SUI, TON, CORE, AI, GRASS, TRUTH, BSB, LAYER, MERL, and ENSO can still produce sharp pumps, but volatility alone should not be mistaken for strength. Fast pumps in thin liquidity environments can reverse just as violently. At the same time, weaker structures are becoming increasingly visible across the market. LIT, PROVE, BASED, EDGE, SPACE, TRIA, BLUR, PENGU, HUMA, NOT, BIO, AR, and FIL continue to show weak recoveries, declining volume, and a lack of follow-through after bounces. That often reflects capital exiting the structure rather than strong accumulation underneath. Crowded narratives also remain highly vulnerable. HYPE, ZEC, ONDO, ORDI, PI, AEVO, JUP, PYTH, TIA, SEI, and INJ still carry strong stories and attention, but overcrowded positioning becomes extremely dangerous when volatility spikes. A strong narrative won't protect a trader from weak entries or poor risk management. That said, this is not a full market collapse. Relative strength is quietly building in names like NEAR, WLD, LAB, BILL, ICP, PROS, and ENA.
