How do I change my authenticator app?

I can log in to my account

App

  1. Open the OKX app and select the Main Menu in the upper left corner.

  2. Select Profile and settings > Security > Authenticator app > Change authenticator app.

  3. Follow the on-screen instructions and select Next.

  4. Complete the two-factor authentication (2FA) verification.

  5. You'll receive an email/SMS confirmation upon changing authenticator app successfully.

Web

  1. Go to the Profile icon and select Security.

  2. Find authenticator app and select Change.

  3. Select Continue and follow the on-screen instructions.

  4. You'll receive an email/SMS confirmation upon successfully changing your authenticator app.

I can't log in to my account

If you can't log in to your account, you can only reset your authenticator app on the OKX app.

  1. Enter your account on log in page, select Next.

  2. Select Forgot your password on enter password page and Confirm your phone/email.

  3. Reset and Confirm your password.

  4. Select Reset authenticator method to start reset your authenticator app.

  5. Follow the on-screen instructions or contact customer support to reset your authenticator app.

Note: For your security, you won't be able to withdraw crypto or use P2P trading within 24 hours of resetting or changing your authenticator app.
