You’ll never believe what happened today.
I went to the supermarket this morning - nothing special, just grabbing a few things for the week.
The checkout lines were long, so I ducked into the aisle with the cold brew fridge, half-zoned out thinking about token models and GPU pricing.
Then this older guy - mid-70s maybe, tweed cap, steady hands - walks up to me. You can always tell when someone recognizes you but doesn’t want to seem weird about it.
He says, “Excuse me, are you Mark?”
I said, “Yeah.”
He glances around like he’s about to share state secrets and goes, “Is it true the Aethir Strategic Compute Reserve actually uses $ATH to book its own compute deals… and that all of its revenue is used to buy back ATH directly on-market?”
I paused for a second, thinking maybe I misheard him. This guy looked like he should be arguing about golf handicaps, not capital market flywheels.
“Yeah,” I said. “That’s correct.”
He nodded like I’d just confirmed a conspiracy theory, smiled, and said, “Knew it. You can’t hide true demand forever.”
Then he picked up a carton of milk and walked off.
Crazy how it’s spreading. Many such cases.
