Reflecting on why so many people this past week have told me our demo gave them goosebumps or chills down their spine, I realized it depends on their priors or models of the world
When you know and understand every part of how this tech is put together, it is certainly novel but not inherently scary...
But when your priors come from Westworld, Person of Interest, Minority Report, and Terminator, seeing similar capabilities demonstrated live on yourself for the first time might tend to associate with surprise and anxiety
Now a question is whether we ought to double down on these visceral aspects of our demo, given how much low-hanging fruit there is in that direction...
